One pair of Pajamas can make a difference!

It can be the smallest things that can help one cope and show that people care. We have provided new pajamas for over 15,000 women and children to date!

Every $ counts!  100% of PJ project donations go directly to purchasing pajamas.

Children’s workbook “THERE’S ONLY ONE ME!”   I AM SPECIAL

The love of children and a strong desire to make a difference for those who have witnessed abuse or been abused led to the creation of this workbook.  We strongly believe that education and counseling are key to domestic violence prevention and breaking the cycle of intergenerational abuse.

This book has lots of activities and open-ended questions to encourage discussion.

Every $ counts!  100% of workbook donations go directly to printing and distributing workbooks.

The planners were a unique tool that was often included in the welcome, ‘cope’ kit that the women receive on arrival to a transition houses.

Unfortunately, this program had to be suspended because of COVID.  The difficult decision was later made not to reactivate this program due to the significant increase in shipping costs.

This program was active from 2004 to 2019 with over 100,000 planners distributed.

The Back to School Backpack Program was created in 2010 for children residing in the transition houses that we help support.  We distribute an average of 80 backpacks along with some school supplies annually.  As one child put it: “Having a backpack makes me feel normal.”

Distribution of the many gifts we receive is an ever expanding part of what we do.  We receive thousands of items from very generous groups, companies and individuals.  It is truly amazing to see the quantity and variety of items.  We acknowledge the wonderful generosity of these amazing people in our newsletters and on facebook.
